NY Fashion Week is in full swing and we are excited to see what the designers have for us in terms of trends and colors! Here are a few major trends we’ve investigated on that will be big and bold for Spring 2012:

Metallic - Shimmer and shine in a metallic skirt or a dress. Designers such as Thakoon, Marc Jacobs and Prabal Gurung made some killer appearances in the runway with metallic madness in their collection.
Sporty - Who said you can not be chic while looking sporty? A blend of sweater and skirt and blazers - these juxtaposing sports-inspired pieces are not only easy to wear but are prone to too much attention.
Tropical Prints - The island inspired trends does not only consists of warm, popping colors but also wonderful patterns that can spice up your wardrobe and make it all ready for Spring!
Color block Dressing - Enough being a one-tone fashionista! Color block dressing is another trend that is emerging and is definitely one to try. Be bold with orange and blue or a few colors that portray more of your personality.
Peplum - This isn’t Peplum’s first time in the runway! Not only it is a classic trend, it is chic and is now modernized - thanks to designers such as Jason Wu, Thakoon, Vera Want and Anna Sui.
